ARDENA GOJANI NEUMAYR
Ardena is the driving force behind ArGo Movement, a platform dedicated to teaching and growing the West Coast Swing community. With creative energy and a passion for connection, she creates welcoming spaces where dancers feel encouraged to grow.
She is the founder of the international events Sol Swing and Winter White, known for combining high-quality learning with unforgettable social experiences. Ardena’s goal is always to create meaningful connections through dance.
ROBIN SYNNESTVEDT LYSAKER
Robin discovered his passion for West Coast Swing in 2016 and quickly became fully immersed in the dance. He began competing successfully and started teaching in 2022, focusing on clear communication, comfort, and strong connection in partnerships.
Competing at an advanced level in the WSDC system, Robin travels frequently to stay inspired by the evolving WCS scene. He also enjoys DJing at events and is deeply dedicated to sharing his knowledge and passion with the community.
IDA MARIE STRAND
Ida began her dance journey with Norwegian folk swing and discovered West Coast Swing during her time in the USA. Growing up above the Arctic Circle, she moved to Oslo in 2023 to fully immerse herself in the dance scene. She competes in the advanced division in the WSDC system.
She loves teaching technique and always strives to explain movement in clear, relatable ways, helping students fully understand what they are learning. Known for her authenticity and attention to detail, Ida enjoys exploring the nuances that make WCS more comfortable and expressive.
MARIIA ILINA
Mariia began her dance journey with hustle and discofox, drawn to the athletic side of movement. While she progressed quickly, she eventually felt limited in self-expression, which led her to discover West Coast Swing. The dance opened a new world, allowing her to move with freedom and authenticity.
After moving to Norway, her connection to WCS deepened through the warmth of the local community. For Mariia, dance is a reflection of the inner self and a powerful tool for growth, joy, and personal development.
ELISE NORDLI
Elise has loved dancing from an early age, starting with ballet at six and later exploring styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and musical theatre. She finished high school with a specialization in scenic dance before returning to dance after a few years away. It was then she realized West Coast Swing was the path she wanted to pursue.
Dedicated to continuous learning, Elise enjoys exploring movement quality and musicality. At the heart of everything she does is the joy of sharing her passion—whether through teaching, performing, or connecting with others on the dance floor.
HENNY MARIE SMELHUS SVEEN
Henny discovered West Coast Swing as a personal challenge—to take up space, trust herself, and express more of who she is through movement. What started as something unfamiliar quickly grew into a deep passion and an essential part of her everyday life.
For her, the magic of WCS can’t truly be explained—it has to be felt. The connection, freedom, and shared energy on the dance floor are what make the dance so powerful and keep her coming back again and again.
KIM TOMAS LAIVINDIL KLEVENGEN
Kim Tomas discovered Rock Step Swing at the University of Oslo in 2008 and has been dancing ever since. Over the years, he has explored several styles, before falling in love with West Coast Swing in 2010. He holds a “Trener 1 – Swing” certification from the Norwegian Dance Association and has extensive teaching experience.
Outside of dance, Kim Tomas is a dedicated football referee and advocate for workers’ rights. His enthusiasm, structure, and experience make him an inspiring and supportive teacher.
HERMAN AARSTAD KIRSTE
Herman’s dance journey began with Cuban salsa, inspired by his travels in South America and love for Latin music. He later discovered West Coast Swing by coincidence when a salsa class was full—and it quickly became his favorite style.
For Herman, West Coast Swing is all about musicality, groove, and creativity. He loves the excitement of each unique dance and the freedom of discovering where the music and connection will lead.
VILDE SANDNES
Vilde has always enjoyed dancing, but it wasn’t until she discovered West Coast Swing that she truly found her dance. WCS allows her to express herself fully, have fun, and challenge herself while dancing to the music.
What she loves most is the feeling of connection—with both the partner and the music—exploring the dance together on the social floor and sharing moments of creativity and joy.
ELIAS SKISTAD
Elias discovered West Coast Swing after watching his girlfriend dance. Seeing her move with such elegance inspired him to try it himself, and he quickly fell in love with the freedom the dance allows. Once he understood the rules and techniques, he could truly let his mind flow and have fun in ways he never could before.
He also loves the process of improving and learning—every so often, something clicks and he achieves a completely new movement. That feeling is a big part of why he continues to practice every week.
ERLEND & GURO
Guro has danced West Coast Swing since 2023 and brings a rich movement background in dance therapy, African dance, and yoga. She loves groove, playfulness, and expressing herself fully on the dance floor, always ready for the next song.
Erlend has been dancing WCS since 2018 and is known for warmly welcoming newcomers into the community, both as a teacher and social dancer. Whether at festivals, in the forest, in the snow, or waiting in a falafel queue, you can usually find him dancing wherever the music plays.
